For anyone who has been to Whites over the last few years, you know that it always seemed a little precarious walking down our pier. 12 pilings were replaced along with several tons of support lumber in early February. The pilings were donated by Don Beaumont of Catalina Classic Cruises and installed by Warren Diving and TCX staff over a 3 day period. The rest of the tie-in work was done by Jimmy, Jeremy, Grant and I from TCX with a lot of help from Juan, Jose and Angel of the Catalina Island Conservancy.

 

We also installed a new 30-foot ramp for easier and safer access to the pier from the float. When you come ashore at Whites Landing now,  you can see (and feel) the difference!
